Here the menu includes a choice between five first courses and as many second courses, all made to perfection. Typically Bergamo cuisine. We tasted the casoncelli, the gnocchi, and the foiade with hare ragout, all strictly homemade. As a second course, the timeless pork shank, braised meat, rabbit, all accompanied with polenta (also taragna). We were lucky, that day there were also porcini mushrooms. Same philosophy for the desserts, panna cotta, and cakes they produce. The drinks are good, with wines from the area and from the peripheral regions of Lombardy. The prices are more than reasonable, and the service is fast. By the way, it is a historic place. In winter you dine in the room warmed by the fire of a beautiful fireplace, in summer in the beautiful courtyard outside the business. It is a pleasure to visit you.

Historic venue that offers traditional dishes. The outside seems a little shabby but inside the old environment is preserved very well.Unfortunately not all the dishes indicated on the menu at the entrance were available but we still found great satisfaction in what we took. Maybe the casoncelli weren't (personally) 5 stars due to the homemade pasta being a little too thick, but the rest was truly amazing. I didn't know the foiade with hare ragù, but they were touching: large pasta that melts in your mouth, space-age sauce. A true explosion of flavors in the mouth. Polenta submerged in porcini mushrooms, still slightly crunchy, excellent. To finish, an apple pie and a good coffee. Prices absolutely adequate for quality and quantity. Among the places to keep in mind when you are in the area.

Great place to eat! Authentic food served by authentic staff. Don't expect an english/german written menue. Just eat what is suggested by the staff... it will be great, even if you do not understand what he is saying (like us). We'll be back!

Rustic room with spectacular 17th century fireplace at the entrance. The menu is entirely inspired by local dishes. We tried the casoncelli alla bergamo. I have rarely tasted something so tasty. Speaking later with the chef, he was keen to point out that he makes them entirely by hand and furthermore the filling is made up of three meats chosen by him. Must try. Then foiade with hare ragout, braised in Barolo. Polenta and mushrooms. All super tasty. Friendly staff and quick service. Wines in bottles or in bulk (we tried the bulk one, very good). Moderate prices for the quality offered. We will come back for sure.
